The fort.
The trolley, the best way to see the city
A 600 year old live oak. Of course you can't see it, but it's there
The famous fountain of youth that drew Ponce de Leon to florida and led to the founding of St. Augustine.
SPELLING!!
A view of part of the anchorage in the intracoastal.
One of the bars on the trolley route. Saturday night had already started!
The Flagler memmorial church.
One of the buildings ercted by Henry Flagler. His influence is powerful in St Agustine. It's here he strted his railway that eventually reeached Key West. It was washed out in a hurricane in the 1930s, and never rebuilt.
This sign is in front of the oldest houuse in St. Augstine.
The fort at St. Augustine. Unfortunately, I found the steps too steep, and the rail too low for me to climb to the top where I wanted to take a few shots of the harbor. Oh well, in another life!
Marge and I in front of the fort.
The lighthouse at St. Auguustine.
Look carefully, and you'll see a flock of Ibis birds in the tree top. They flock here because the alligaotrs scare off the bird's enemies, so they stay here even though they aren't penned.
Feeding time for the large storks
A picture of the biggest stork specie. The sac hanging down means she is in mating season, and says "DON'T MESS WITH ME!
Another bird!
One of the bird specimans. They have seceral species.
Climbing out of he pond, they have several HUNDRED gators.
This one is 13 feet long!
A job opening if you are interested, feeding the Gators.
A rare white alligator, only a few hudred are left!
Up to our ass in alligators!
