Marge, Deb, and I on the back doc where only sailboats stay. There abot 80 slips, and the overflow is on the front docks. Slips are allocated by a simple formula I developed while on the board. There is a waiting list for slips!! Incidentally, slips are called wells all through this area.

This house is on the lot where Deb's old Mich house was. She says it closely resembles her old house. St. Clair Shores, Mich.
A view of the St. C lair river looking South at St Clair, Mich. The stacks on the left are in Canada, the ones at the right are in the States.
A view of Anchor Bay, Lake St. Clair at the tiki bar. Not as nice as the one we frequented in Riviera Beach, bt a great view.
The Tiki bar's kid band group. I thought they were terrible, Deb said they were great. We agreed that they were loud!!

This was at Dylan's, it used to be Tom's Oyster bar. It wae managed for years by our friend, John Montgomery, Jr. He ran it for 20 years, and is now part owner of the bar . We loved seeing him, his dad and mother were among my closest friends. They are both now deceased .

This is the St. Marks lighthouse, one of the oldest in our country. A cisplay was put on here for earthday. It drew quite a crowd, and we enjoyed it. Of course the fact that it it is near the Riverside Cafe helped us to like the day!
Part of the lighthouse display.
The Riverdide cafe, my kind of saloon.
Dogs are welcome at the porch wing
Lunch is served at one of our favorite Tallahassee sports bars
what's for lunch?

yesterday,4-14-09, I had a senior type fall. It could have been bad, broken bones or more. I fell on our concrete driveway. No lasting damage, but I had to have stitches inside my mouth. I tripped over my own feet! The point of blogging it? to remind me I am now a very senior citizen! It also reminded me once again why we moved to Tallahassee. To be near our daughter, Deb. I am not sure I could have handled the whole episode without her! RHD

The few pictures below are some I took at the Waculla festival, April 4th. This area seems to have a festival of some kind every week. Deb knows all the perfromers, and is one of them
sometimes. They are fun but all similar. Deb loves the music, all folk. To me it sounds justlike
Country and Western!. Every one just like the one before. This is both a college town and a throwback to rural america. A far cry from North Palm Beach, or Grosse Pointe, Mich. However, Marge and I love it! RHD
Good view of the territory. That's an Anhinga in the tree. He has to spread his wings to dry after about 2-3 dives for fish. He has no sudface oil on his wings, and needs to dry them for the dives. Had camera trouble sorta, and the next pictures are black and white BobD
