Last night we were at OPYC for my 84th birthday party!
Who ever expected to live that long!
Yet here we are, celebrating a birthday, and
planning to move to Tallahassee as soon as
we sell our Condo at Old Port Cove, where
we have lived for 14 years. A wonderful
place, but we have to "move on" [ sound familiar?]

Below is a picture of the Yacht Privacy, Tiger Woods' boat. I have been trying to get a picture for months. In my view, Tiger is the athlete of the century, and I get to see it from my balcony
What a kick!

Marge and I have made a major decision. We are going to sell [as soon as possible!]
our condo in Old Port Cove, and move to a retirement village in Tallahassee, Fl.
It's near, about 2 miles, from where our daughter lives, and is in a beautiful setting.
It also offers full assisted living when and if you need it. I hope that's not soon!!
The reasons are plain. I will be 84 in two weeks, and Marge 83 in November.
Marge has memory problems. I can and do take care of all of our day to day needs,
including all the finances. But when and if, Debbie can very ably do this job for us.
We have loved our 14 years here. Our condo looks right out on Lake Worth, and our yacht
club, Old Port Yacht Club, is about 200 yards away. We came here from a canal lot home
on Singer Island, Riviera Beach, Fl. This was wonderful for our last 24, out of about 60
years, of sailing. When I decided I was too old to handle my 43 foot Irwin sailboat [ see below]
is when we moved here to Old Port Cove.
But now I want to take it even easier!

one of the locals near the basin of the
wacissa river. He lives nearby, and
runs a kayak rental shop. He also keeps
this lawn and paring lot neat. It is the
place where the kayaks are put in the
river.

dive, I think, into a bay of the Wacissa river, one of my
daughter's favorites for kayaking
