The following pictures were all taken on our trip to Detroit, May 11, 2007
The purpose of the trip was to attend the Detroit Yacht Club reunion party.
We were the guests of Don and Helen Baker. The party was a huge success,
over 400 people attended. we saw friends from 50 years ago! The pictures
are of the party at the Detroit Yacht Club, scenes fo our old houses, and pictures
from Bayview Yacht Club, where we spent Sat. night, May 12, 2007. The DYC
party was May 11

This 2 story house being built, is on the
lot that used to have my parent's one story
house! they bought the house from the builder
about 1953, and lived in it until my Mom Died
in 1965. Grosee Pointe Blvd., Grosse Pointe Farms,

The pictures below are from the DYC reunion party. The idea was to invite as many old time members whether or not they were still members. There were over 400 people there, so I would say it was very successful!.
We were invited to go to the party, and stay with the Bakers at their very beautiful 100 year
old house. Naturally we accepted! We flew to Detroit Fri, went to the party Friday night.
Saturday, the Bakers took us to a matinee of Sweet Charity, at the Fisher theater. We went to Bayview Yacht Club sat. night, went to The Ford Museum Sun. and stayed at theDearborn Inn
Sun. night!! Flew home Mon. What a whirlwind weekend. Never had such a good time. If you got this far, but not before I finish the posting, you'll see that we had a good time at Bayview too.

of Bob Kennedy. Bob and his brother Mel, were
my partners in Detroit-City Electrotype Co.
and were friends going back to the 30s. Again, scene
is at the DYC reunion party.

widow. as most of you who might see this blog know,
Lynn was one of my oldest, and best friends, dating back to the 30s. We were college roomates, and sailed
together many races after the war.
