Mortality

Because mainly due to my wife's Alzheimers, I have occasionally contemplated mortality lately.
We worry about where the world is going, what the tax rate will be five years from now, what
we will actually do about global warming etc.
And then I think to myself, in 2-3 years, it's likely that either my wife or me, or both will be dead. And I don't believe we'll be able to "look down" and see how it all turned out.
It should be a scary thought, but somehow it's not! Just makes me want to get to the retirement
village, and a dog soon.
